You never have to wait for a momentous occasion to capture special memories with your family. Mom has always wanted to have portraits done with her family and with having to wait 7 years for their new baby it was a momentous occasion! They are a sweet, close and loving family who love to laugh and Brian is probably going to be the most incredible brother in the world, he’s already so in love with Elkin.
I remember our first session back when Taiheel was just a tiny newborn. I absolutely adore this family, and soon they will be a family of 4!
The Pererias have left our beautiful shores and have emigrated to New Zealand, they wanted a family portrait session to capture some memories before they left, I’m sure these memories will be forever precious to them!
I first captured Miané as just a bump, it is amazing to get to watch babies grow and change and an honour to capture special milestones, these were to celebrate their very first Christmas together.

It’s such a privilege to photograph families through the years and watch as their children change and grow. It makes me feel like I am a part of their family in a small way.
We decided on the Raphia palms in Mtunzini for this shoot and spent most of the time running after Saige fearlessly speeding through the forest, exploring interesting holes in trees and collecting Raphia palm seeds. Once she’d powered down I captured some sweet moments of her with mom and dad.
